Shawndell Burney-Speaks
Shawndell Burney-Speaks, a Certified Relationship Coach and public speaker, served as the first Black female Senior Advisor to Providence’s Mayor and as Executive Director of the African American Ambassador Group. She founded Corporate Prayer New England after the tragic loss of her son and is a passionate advocate for social justice and mental health.Coach Shawnie facilitates the PowerHouse Women conference focused on healing for women annually. Shawndell obtained her B.A. in Organizational Leadership and Change from the College Unbound class of 2022, where she was also honored with the Fighting for Justice award in honor of the late Honorable Judge William C. Clifton.
