
Sarnya is the Project Director of School-Based Programs at Family Service of Rhode Island. In her role, she provides strategic leadership to expand access to mental health services for Rhode Island students and trains school staff on trauma-informed practices to support students at schools. Recently, Sarnya trained over 2,000 school staff members on providing trauma-informed support for students and highlighted the historical trauma endured by minority communities in these sessions. She has received various accolades for her professional and community work—including the 40 Under 40, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Leading Women of Distinction awards.
